Rodney Stark estimates that there were about 1000 Christians in 40 AD, and about 32 million Christians in 350 AD. Let’s assume the growth rate was constant over this period. Using Google or a calculator to take the natural logarithms, what would the growth rate of number of Christians be during this period?

Rodney notes that this was a growth rate similar to well-documented growth rates that Jehovah’s Witness, Mormons and Pentecostals have each been able to sustain for periods of many decades.
